Communication Before the Digital Age

The Meriden Historical Society at the Andrews Homestead, 424 W. Main Street, Meriden will be open to the public on Saturday, October 14 and on Sunday, October 15 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.
On display will be our special exhibit: Communication Before the Digital Age as well as our permanent collection. The special exhibit covers various modes of communication that predate email, search engines, social media, word processing, printing and instant messaging.
Visitors will be able to try dialing rotary phones, key Morse code on telegraph keys, use a tin can phone and use rubber stamp printing. Admission is free, donations are much appreciated.
