Castle Craig Players

Since 1992, the mission of the Castle Craig Players is to present affordable, live professional quality theater that engages, inspires, entertains, and challenges audiences while providing an opportunity for local actors to continue to develop their talent, resulting in recognition as a significant cultural asset to the local community. Augusta Curtis Cultural Center

Augusta Curtis Cultural CenterThe Augusta Curtis Cultural Center is a restored 100-year-old library that is now used for the arts, sciences, history, ethnic celebration and sport in Connecticut. Within the Cultural Center, you can find educational art programs and exhibits for all ages and all types of cultures. This beautifully restored Greek marble building is also home to several musical groups including the Augusta Curtis Concert Band, Central Connecticut Youth Orchestra, and the New Theater of Meriden.

The Center is available to rent for special occasions.

Gallery 53

Gallery 53 helps to keep art alive in the city of Meriden with an accessible creative arts space that features a pottery studio, an amazing gift shop, a spacious, light-filled art studio overlooking the Meriden Green, and a fully equipped meeting room available for rental. Gallery 53 has built a strong art community of dedicated volunteers and talented instructors who promise to give you a warm welcome!

Located in the heart of Downtown Meriden, this historic building exhibits historical collections, hosts public programs, and welcomes researchers and visitors to enjoy it contents.

The Andrews Homestead

Andrews HomesteadThis is one of the oldest homes in Meriden and now contains a large collections of items from Meriden’s past. The Homestead is open to the public every Sunday in May between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm, and also by appointment.

1711 Solomon Goffe House

The Friends of the Solomon Goffe House strive to provide historical education surrounding the communities in the 18th century in New England and will preserve and provide research access to original artifacts and documents.

The Solomon Goffe House is open 1:30-4:30 pm on the first Sunday of the month from April to November. Follow them on Facebook to see upcoming events!
