This week, the City of Meriden executed a Ground Lease with 11 Crown Street Associates, part of the Michaels Organization, for the 11 Crown Street site. With the execution of the Ground Lease, the developer, 11 Crown Street Associates, will begin construction of an 81 unit, mixed income development at the site. The development includes 63 rental apartments and 18 townhouse style units. Construction will be completed in 2020.
As a part of the Ground Lease, the City will receive a payment of $495,000 that is earmarked for maintenance of the Meriden Green park and flood control site.
