June 16, 2018, Meriden CT---The Hartford Line commuter rail service officially launched today with commuter rail service connecting Meriden to Hartford and New Haven. Trains provide hourly service and allow passengers to connect to regional Amtrak (to Boston and New York City) and Metronorth commuter rail service (to Fairfield County, Westchester County and New York City). Meriden is a key station stop on the Hartford Line commuter rail system. The Meriden Transit Center is conveniently located in downtown Meriden, just steps away from the Meriden Green and over 40 local businesses. Parking for the commuter rail service is located at 60 State Street (CTDOT surface lot) and at 24 Colony Street (CTDOT garage). CTDOT parking fees in Meriden are $7/per day. Parking is also available on-street and at several city parking lots located on Church Street, on West Main Street, and on Hanover Street.
