On Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Meriden Senior Center, 22 West Main Street, Meriden, CT there will be a public hearing regarding the City of Meriden’s Program Year 44 CDBG Annual Action Plan. The purpose of this hearing is to obtain the input of citizens concerning the City of Meriden’s community development needs and objectives and the allocation of available CDBG funds. Citizens are encouraged to attend this hearing and make known comments and recommendations relative to housing, community development, and homeless needs as they affect the City of Meriden. Any entity that is submitting an application for funding in Program Year 44 is required to attend this meeting.
Applications may be obtained in person at City Hall, Room 218, Meriden, CT or on the Economic Development Department website: http://www.meridenbiz.com/resources/community-development-block-grant/. Accommodations will be made for anyone who is unable to obtain an application in person or via the web. Applications are due to the Community Development Office by 5:00 pm on March 6, 2018.
The City is planning for Program Year 44 assuming level funding of $934,701 under the FY 2018 CDBG program. In May 2018, the City will submit to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development its Program Year 44 Annual Action Plan for final approval.
