Meriden 2020, Bringing It Together

The Meriden Green is now open!

The Meriden Green is a key part of a comprehensive downtown redevelopment plan that leverages more than $250 million private, State, federal and local investment in transportation, housing, flood control and private development.  The Meriden Green includes three acres that will be available for private development, 1.6 miles of public walking trails, an amphitheater and stage area that will be available for community events, and an iconic bridge with programmable LED lighting.   The Meriden Green is located within walking distance to the new Meriden Transit Center and Hartford Line commuter rail service scheduled to open in 2018.  The Meriden Green is located within the City's Transit Oriented Development Zoning District, which encourages mixed use and high density development located in proximity to public transit.

The Meriden has a stage and amphitheater for public rentals.  To reserve the space or other areas in the park, contact Vicky at the Parks Department, phone 203-630-4259.
